Disabled Support

The Raven Performing Arts Theater strives to be a performing arts facility for everyone. Please review the information below to learn about the availability of handicapped parking and the seating accessibility of our theater. If you have any questions or concerns or need help when you arrive at the theater, please email us at events@raventheater.org or call us at 707.431.8385. You may also ask to speak to the house manager at any event for immediate assistance.

Doors Open: Doors open 1 hour before showtime for concerts; doors open 30 minutes before showtime for Raven Players’ productions.

Parking: A drop-off parking zone is available directly in front of our theater.  Our staff would be happy to assist disabled patrons from this zone. Handicapped parking can be found on the street or in public parking lots; see the City of Healdsburg map below.

Auditorium: No stairs are required for access to the theater or the auditorium; the auditorium floor has a very slight slope down to the front of the stage. There are several wheelchair-friendly spaces available; please see the chart below for location. If more space is necessary for your group, please contact us at events@raventheater.org. Each restroom has one wheelchair-accessible stall.

Vision impaired: Lighting throughout the theater is generally sufficient for vision-impaired patrons; if you think you may have difficulty navigating the space, please request assistance from a staff member.

Hearing impaired: Concerts are generally run through an amplification system and are not usually an issue for the hearing-impaired. The Raven Players’ productions are not amplified except for musicals.

Immunocompromised individuals: COVID vaccinations and N95 face masks are strongly recommended but no longer required to see performances at the Raven, unless requested by a performer or producer.

The Raven continues work to improve air quality within the theater: We recently hired Indoor Science, a Chicago-based company, to conduct a thorough assessment of the air quality in the building. As a result of this assessment, we’ve upgraded our HVAC system and installed MERV-13 and automated CO2 sensors in both HVAC units. The CO2 sensors ensure an automatic release of fresh air into the building whenever CO2 levels rise. In addition, we’ll soon be replacing the temporary Corsi-Rosenthal boxes that are in the lobby and backstage with permanent, standalone units. These measures have been shown to reduce indoor exposure to airborne particles containing the virus that causes COVID-19 and other viruses. They also reduce the levels of other particles in the air, such as dust or wildfire smoke.
