Rumors Rumors is Neil
Simon at his farcical best. Four couples gather to celebrate a wedding
anniversary of their best friend, Charley the Deputy Mayor of New York,
at his apartment. Ken and Chris are the first couple to arrive and they
find Charley upstairs bleeding. An attempted suicide – or is it? Ken,
his lawyer, decides they must get “the story” straight before the other
guests arrive. A missing wife, missing cook, a damaged car, whiplash, a
recurring back spasm, and rumors galore add to the comic mayhem. As the
confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into
classic farcical hilarity. If you enjoy laughing out loud, this is the
show for you. (Not recommended for young children, sexual theme) August 19, 20, 21*, 25**, 26, 27, 28* All shows at 8 pm; * Sunday matinee at 2 pm ** Value night: all tickets $11.
Ten Little Indians
In this superlative mystery comedy, written by the mystery master Agatha
Christie, statuettes of little soldier boys on the mantel of a house on
an island off the coast of Devon, fall to the floor and break one by one
as those in the house succumb to a diabolical avenger. A mysterious
voice accuses each of the eight guests, who have never met before, of
having gotten away with murder. And then one of them drops
dead—poisoned. A nursery rhyme tells how each of the ten “soldiers”
meets their death—until there were none. A great treat for the Halloween
holiday celebration. (Not recommended for young children, violence) October 21, 22, 23*, 27**, 28, 29, 30* All shows at 8 pm; * Sunday matinee at 2 pm ** Value night: all tickets $11.
Chicago Chicago has
everything that makes a musical great. A true Broadway institution for
many years, it’s the universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz.
From one show-stopping song and dance after another, it’s no wonder
Chicago has been honored with six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, a
Grammy and thousands of standing ovations. It's also no surprise that
Chicago has wowed audiences all around the world… and now an exclusive
first-time performance run for the North Bay and Healdsburg. Experience
the show live on stage as we transform the Raven Performing Arts Theater
into a smaller intimate venue and capture the magic Chicago has
delivered for years. (Not recommended for children: language, violence, sexual theme) January 27, 28 All shows at 8 pm; * Sunday matinee at 2 pm ** Value night: all tickets $15.
To Kill a Mockingbird
“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his
point of view—until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”
~Atticus Inspired by one of the most beloved novels of all time, To Kill a
Mockingbird brings to vibrant life the book’s unforgettable characters:
Scout, Jem, Boo Radley and Atticus Finch, the father we wish we had—or
the one we want to be. Simple in its approach, compelling in its themes
and exquisitely human in its compassion, the stage version of this
timeless classic is a complex and powerful argument for doing the right
thing, no matter how difficult that may be. A great play for the whole
family to experience. Together! All shows at 8 pm; * Sunday matinee at 2 pm April 13, 14, 15*, 19**, 20, 21, 22*, 27, 28,
29* ** Value night: all tickets $11.
Gypsy Gypsy is simply
the best musical book ever written! Starting with what musicians claim
is the brightest of overtures, Broadway’s most revived musical explodes
with wonderful music that you’ll be singing long after you leave the
theater. Purportedly the bio of stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, it’s really an
exciting tale of the drive of an ultimate stage mother whose dream it is
to push her daughters to stardom, no matter what the toll on her own
life, her family, and eventually, the daughters themselves. Featuring
songs you’ll know the minute you hear the first few notes, Gypsy ends
with a powerful punch about the cost of stardom. You’ll laugh, you’ll
sing, you’ll cry—and you’ll love Gypsy. (Not recommended for children, sexual theme) June 22, 23, 24*, 28**, 29, 30 All shows at 8 pm; * Sunday matinee at 2 pm ** Value night: all tickets $15. |
