Rumors Rumors is Neil Simon at his farcical best. Four couples gather to celebrate a wedding anniversary of their best friend, Charley the Deputy Mayor of New York, at his apartment. Ken and Chris are the first couple to arrive and they find Charley upstairs bleeding. An attempted suicide – or is it? Ken, his lawyer, decides they must get “the story” straight before the other guests arrive. A missing wife, missing cook, a damaged car, whiplash, a recurring back spasm, and rumors galore add to the comic mayhem. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity. If you enjoy laughing out loud, this is the show for you.
